Kindle - I'm Sold

A visitor asked, "So what do you think of Kindle?" Well, to be honest I didn't know too much about it, but being game for new gadgets thought I'd take a look at Kindle, pictured below.



This thing is amazing! It is simple to use, has long battery life, connects wirelessly from just about anywhere, and dishes up not just books, but newspapers, blogs and Wikipedia. It's rigged to use wireless connectivity like a cell phone, but without any additional charge. You don't need a PC to use it or need to haul around wires. You can even send it pictures, word documents, and more so that you can use it to store just about anything you'd like to read. And its lightweight at 10.3 ounces.

If you are already doing email and browsing with a mobile device like a BlackBerry and add this to your road warrior arsenal, you will probably find that there will be many days when you won't need to haul around a heavier laptop. Sure, you need the heavier gear for creating and editing documents, but for relaxation and information consumption, this is hard to beat.

I'd say Kindle has a great future. An with the recent news of Amazon's intended acquisition of Audible.com, could we imagine a future model of Kindle with the option to do written and audible books?
