Blackberry Not Vista Ready?

After installing Vista 64 on a computer, I thought it would be great to be able to hook up my Blackberry Pearl. I ended up with an error message that was a little odd indicating that there was insufficient power on the USB connection when I tried to synch after installing the most recent version of the desktop software.

That prompted me to send an email to Blackberry to ask when a Vista 64 compatible desktop download would be available. The answer was amazing. At no point in the message did Blackberry address the question or provide the slightest hint as to when or if a Vista compatible desktop software download would be available. The response is reproduced below.

A responsive answer would have been nice even if it was to say that the question could not be answered immediately. However, as you'll see, the answer did not respond to the question at all. At best this is poor public relations with customers. As a customer I'm disappointed that the manufacturer can't provide a responsive answer and that I'm being pushed off to the telco that sold the phone knowing that the telco has no more idea than I do when Blackberry will support its Vista 64 customers.
