Japan is staking one billion yen ($9,035,056) on making this technology a reality. Matsushita Electric Industrial and Sony are involved so far. Researchers believe that a three-dimensional TV projected from the floor could include all of these features. Imagine commercials with the smell of cooking steaks, hamburgers, fried chicken, and more to lure you away to make a midnight snack purchase.
