Gov to Offer Low-Cost Electronic Health Record Software - VistA-Office

Close on the heels of Microsoft's announcement that it was naming the next Windows operating system "VISTA" the Government has announced it will offer a new low-cost software to medical practitioners with the name VistA-Office. The software is to be provided by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid next week. This is part of the government's effort to create an interoperable national health data exchange.
