Securing Your Laptop
Laptops are prime targets for theft, especially when you are travelling. If you would like to have some chance of recovering your laptop, should it be stolen, you may want to have a look at software offerings designed to help you recover your laptop. These software applicaitons depend on the theif hooking your laptop up to the Internet. Once that happens the laptop will report its connecting IP address allowing it to be traced. (Of course, this assumes that the thief is lazy and doesn't wipe the hard drive or simply replace the hard drive.)
