Remembering Heroes
Our news media seems to think that we only need to hear about bad guys. Did you ever notice that most news media can't wait to give you details about a very few bad soldiers in Iraq and that the coverage just goes on night after night? What about our heroes? What about the acts of courage and determination? What about all the individual efforts by service personnel to help people? We have set aside Memorial Day to remember those who have served and who have protected the most important, precious thing we all enjoy - freedom!
Take a minute as an individual to count, to do something, to remember those who have fought for you and remind the media that you too need to hear about heroes, that you need to hear about successes, that you need to hear the good things our service members do, and that they too have a responsibility to help keep freedom alive.
